Do you collect pearls like some do shoes? Do you fall into a trancelike state upon gazing at the mirrorlike luster of pearls? Do you obsess over different colors of pearls—cherries from Fiji? who knew!—like a fastidious gardener maintains a topiary silhouette? Then you have found your people—pearl people. That’s who we are at the Cultured Pearl Association of America, Inc. We love pearls for the way they look, the way they make us feel, and for the healthy impact (beautiful pearls grow only in pristine environments) they have on aquatic settings. CPAA members also love selling pearls to emerging and seasoned collectors all over the world.

So, if you design with, grow, sell, or deal with cultured pearls in any way, membership in the CPAA is a must! The CPAA educates, guides, and serves reputable persons and companies dealing with cultured pearls to help elevate pearls and pearl jewelry in the eyes of the public. Like you, the CPAA understands that pearls are the most exciting category in jewelry, and that’s why CPAA exists—to help those who want to step up their pearl game! Membership Levels & Benefits

Affiliate Membership, $500 Annually

Affiliate-level membership is available to reputable growers, importers, wholesalers, dealers, designers, manufacturers, and retailers who distinguish themselves using cultured pearls.

--Monthly members-only CPAA newsletter that includes member news, relevant industry happenings and deadlines, as well as business tips and reminders.

--Social media program participation including a minimum of one image of your work shared monthly on the CPAA Instagram feed, Facebook page, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts.

--Opportunities to be included in original pearl content (including profiles) that will appear on the CPAA website—with links to stories in the Shells newsletter, a proprietary email list of 24,000 trade participants including retailers—and in other articles that will appear in the trade press throughout the year. [Editor’s note: You MUST have your own professional high-resolution images of relevant merchandise to be considered.]

--Inclusion in quarterly email blasts to CPAA’s proprietary press mailing list with info about your company, contact info, and a minimum of one select image of your newest product.

--Opportunity to be included in the annual Jewelers of America press preview in New York City.

--Permission to use one select video in the CPAA’s new and proprietary #thisispearl digital ad campaign. [Will roll out after the AGTA Tucson GemFair 2018.]

Associate Member, $1,000 Annually

Associate-level membership is available to reputable growers, importers, wholesalers, dealers, designers, manufacturers, and retailers who distinguish themselves using cultured pearls.

--Pearl Toolkit, which includes sales tips, fast facts about pearls and the biggest takeaways from the Pearls As One course, role play scripts for use with customers, answers to common questions about pearls, and a blueprint for how to hold a pearl event in store. [Will roll out toward the end of the first half of 2018.]

--Social media program participation including a minimum of two images of your work shared monthly on the CPAA Instagram feed, Facebook page, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts.

Foundation-level membership is available to reputable growers, importers, wholesalers, dealers, designers, manufacturers, and retailers who distinguish themselves using cultured pearls. Foundation-level members must be pre-approved by the current CPAA board of directors, have voting rights on the board, and can participate as board members.

--Monthly members-only CPAA newsletter that includes member news, relevant industry happenings and deadlines, as well as business tips and reminders.
