CPAA is Writing the Pearl News!
New York City, May 17, 2018. The CPAA is fortunate to have some savvy and hard-working members who help keep accurate pearl knowledge circulating throughout the industry. Please check out the following recently published articles from the CPAA’s own respected members and industry friends to stay up to date on new pearl farming information, news, events, and market trends.
- Jeremy Shepherd, board treasurer and founder of PearlParadise.com, wrote about recent innovations in freshwater pearl farming for the Summer 2018 issue of InColor, the magazine of the International Colored Gemstone Association. Find his piece “From Tissue to Bead, the Transformation of the Chinese Cultured Freshwater Pearl Industry” online here.
- Also in the Summer issue of InColor, Laurent Cartier of the Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) and Justin Hunter of J. Hunter Fiji Pearls teamed up to ink “Fiji Cultured Pearls, A Vision for a Blue Industry,” which you can read here. (Anyone who has progressed through Module 4.1 on Fiji Pearls in the Pearls As One course will have a keen appreciation for this article.)
- A final piece in the Summer issue of InColor comes from Philippe Bouasse, a jewelry designer who has assisted with the French version of Pearls As One, wrote about today’s demand for pearl jewelry in “The Pearl Jewelry Renaissance,” viewable here.
